The short version: we use no tracking cookies. No consent banner is required, and none is shown.

This site sets zero tracking cookies. There is no cookie consent banner because there is nothing to consent to.
Cookies are small text files placed on your device by a website. They can be used for essential functionality, personalisation, analytics, or advertising tracking. Different types have different privacy implications — and different legal requirements for consent.
We use Umami for website analytics. Umami is self-hosted on our own server and is designed to be privacy-first. It collects anonymised, aggregated data — page views, country-level location, device type — without using any cookies and without storing IP addresses.
Because Umami is cookieless, it does not require a consent banner under UK PECR or EU ePrivacy rules. We therefore show none.
We use your browser’s localStorage API — which is distinct from cookies — to store two small pieces of information:
localStorage data is stored entirely within your own browser. It is never transmitted to our servers and is not accessible to third parties. It is purely functional and does not track you or your behaviour. It is not subject to cookie consent requirements.
You can clear localStorage at any time via your browser settings (usually under “Site data” or “Clear browsing data”).
This site loads fonts from Google Fonts (fonts.googleapis.com and fonts.gstatic.com). When your browser downloads a font file, Google may log the request — including your IP address — as part of the CDN delivery process. Google may set its own cookies or storage in connection with this request.
We have no control over Google’s logging or storage. If you wish to prevent this, you can block requests to Google’s CDN domains using your browser settings, a browser extension, or a DNS filter. The site will fall back to system fonts.
Google’s privacy policy: policies.google.com/privacy
We run no advertising on this site. We use no advertising networks, retargeting pixels, or third-party tracking cookies of any kind. There is nothing here tracking you for commercial purposes.
Under UK PECR and EU ePrivacy Directive (Cookie Law), consent banners are required when a site sets non-essential cookies. Because we set no cookies at all, no banner is required. This is not an oversight — it is an intentional privacy decision.
